Why does overtime worked in the last week of a given month not appear in the compensation balance even if the timesheet has been validated?

All working time calculations are based on a working week (because usually employees' contractual working hours are defined by week). It is possible that the first or the last week of a month extends over two calendar months, e.g. the Monday is in June and the Sunday is in July. When this happens, the overtime hours are totalled at the end of the month in which the week (the Sunday) ended. Using the example above, this means that if the Monday was in June and the Sunday was in July, any overtime for the last week of June will only be calculated once the timesheet for July is approved (at the end of July or beginning of August).
