HR can enter a back-dated change to an employee's work schedule. However, any previously validated timesheets will not be updated with the back-dated change to the work schedule. This is because were the system to do so it would over-write any auto-filled working hours or working hours that have already been entered into the timesheet manually. Rather, the daily working hours are the same as in the original (previous) work schedule but the timesheet is aware that you have updated the employee’s work schedule. For this reason, the timesheet will show that there is a difference in the hours the employee actually worked and was scheduled to work.
