Does the system automatically end the employee's contract on the same date as the employment termination date when HR enters an employment end date (under "Actions")?
No.
When HR ends an employee's employment, they will have to enter the contract
end date separately in the "Contract Details" tab under
"Terminations". The system does not automatically terminate the
employee's contract on the same date as the employment termination date
because employment ending and contract ending are two different concepts in
PeopleWeek. The system is designed this way to provide HR with maximum
flexibility. For example, HR may be expecting that the termination date will
change and so they do not want to change the contract end date at the same
time as inputting the termination.
