Overtime is time worked exceeding the contractual hours. The weekly threshold refers to any overtime hours that are not included in the calculation of overtime (e.g. the first 5 hours of overtime each week). Only when the weekly threshold has been reached does overtime start to accumulate. The weekly threshold is not mandatory.
