PeopleWeek can be configured so that attachments (e.g. medical certificates) are not visible to the manager or to shared approvers when the absence request is submitted. This configuration can be managed by system administrators: Go to Administration > Absences > Attachment Categories > Click on the pencil icon > Click on "Yes" underneath the field "Confidential".
