How do I set up a notification so that the manager is informed when an absence request is automatically approved?

Only system administrators can configure notificaitons. Go to the left sidebar > Click on "Administration" > Click on "Absences" > Click on "Settings" > Select ''Yes'' in the field ''Send a notification to managers about auto approved absence requests''.
