The system automatically transfers any carry-over days from the previous year on December 31st at midnight. If an employee's employment is terminated before or on December 31st, any unused vacation days / compensation days will not be carried over into the next year. The system sends reminders about upcoming future employment terminations. It is important that HR and Managers proactively update PeopleWeek if an employment that is scheduled to end will in fact be extended to after 31st December. Unless the system is updated prior to 31st December, any unused days will not be carried over.
