Vacation entitlement is calculated as follows (using 25 days' annual entitlement as an example): (25 Vacation Days / 365 days) * the expected total number of working days in the year (taking into consideration the employee's employment start date and any termination date already entered into the system). The calculation is the same for part-time employees but the number of days entitlement is pro-rated in proportion to the employee's work rate (e.g. if the employee's work rate is 80%, 25 days' entitlement is pro-rated to 20 days).
